Telemedicine: Skip the Waiting Room

Waiting to see the doctor can feel endless. Between the concern over catching what the person sitting next to you has and the anxiety over your own diagnosis once you finally see the doctor, the waiting room is far from ideal. The next time you need to consult with your practitioner, skip the waiting room and log on to telemedicine.

The company offers two telemedicine options - MinuteClinic and Teladoc. Both telemedicine options offer medical and behavioral health visits, but there are slight differences in fees. MinuteClinic is offered at no cost and Teladoc has a $20 provider visit fee.

24/7 access to U.S. licensed doctors
Telemedicine doctors are not held to strict office hours. With hours ranging around the clock, you can talk with a doctor when you really need it. Scheduled visits are available between 7 am and 9 pm, but if you need care in the middle of night, a doctor is available.

Virtual care from anywhere
Whether you travel for work or are on vacation, a telemedicine doctor is on call.

Care for non-emergent situations
Telemedicine can handle almost every medical issue, except for emergency situations. Consider using telemedicine when your primary care physician is unavailable, you need care on the weekends and holidays, you need a prescription or a refill. Providers treat a wide range of issues like allergies, flu, cough, fever, headaches, insect bites, rash, pink eye, UTI, vomiting and much more.
