Mail Order

Will using mail order save me money?
The mail order feature allows you to get a 90-day supply of a medication at a reduced price. (It’s like a discount for buying in bulk.) This is usually reserved for maintenance medications—something you take on a regular basis for a chronic condition (like diabetes), or for prevention (allergy or asthma).

Prescription plans are structured so that you get a 3-month supply for the same amount of money you’d pay for two fills at a retail pharmacy.

How does it work?
To get started, your doctor needs to write a prescription for a 90-day supply. Complete a mail service order form, enclose your prescription and payment, then mail it in. Your medication will arrive at your door in packaging that is temperature controlled when necessary, and always discreet to protect your personal health information.

Even though you fill your prescription through the mail service, you can contact a registered CVS Caremark pharmacist 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
